MEET OUR STAFF

Jessica (Gomez) Bedosky, Founder & President
Jessica is a 15-year seasoned educator and has spent the last 10 years teaching in the Ansonia Public School systems. She taught alternative education for 7 years and then mainstreamed to her current assignment of 8th grade mathematics. Jessica has been very active at her local middle school including the PTO, Human Relations Club and TEAM mentor. She cares deeply for her students and is one of their biggest advocates. She understands the struggles of urban youth but maintains high standards of academics as well as behavior. Jessica believes in developing the relationships with students and parents so that each of them know they are valued and are able to achieve excellence. This endeavor is dear to her heart as she has seen first-hand how a college graduate can change socioeconomic status, life opportunities and allow low income and/or minority students to have access to higher education. As a minority attending NYC public schools, attending and graduating from college empowered her with discipline, self-worth, career opportunities, independence and confidence.
Jessica was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. She attended NYC public schools and went on to graduate Adelphi University with a Bachelor’s Degree and then earned her Master’s Degree from Quinnipiac University.
Jessica has been married for 20 years to her husband, John and has two children who are currently entering college in 2015. Prior to joining College Access For All Kids, Inc, she was very active in the Tribury area’s youth group ministry, YoungLife, where she served on the committee as Chairperson and opened her home to 40-60 local youth each week for “Club” meetings. Jessica is also very active at her church in Thomaston and serves as a youth group leader and sits on various committees.
